Join Us to End the Abuse of Older People

 

Hourglass (Safer Ageing) is the only charity in the UK dedicated to ending the abuse of older people. We confront the worst forms of physical, sexual, financial, psychological, and domestic abuse, as well as neglect. We offer life-changing support to victims, their families, and the wider community.

 

This year, our 24/7 Helpline will handle nearly 35 new cases of abuse daily in England, supporting just under 80,000 victim-survivors and their families throughout the year.

 

Our mission is clear: no older person should be harmed or abused.

Give an Hour Pro Bono Legal Help

 

Each year, our 24/7 helpline services receive 18,000 calls from older individuals experiencing abuse or from concerned friends and family members. These calls often pertain to various forms of abuse and occasionally require additional professional assistance.

 

We are asking legal & financial professionals across the UK, to donate an hour of their time to provide legal advice to those in need. Your participation in the 'Give an Hour' campaign could significantly impact the protection and support of older people in our community. Join us in ensuring that no older person suffers harm or abuse.
