Every year over 2.7 million people across the UK are affected by the abuse of older people. Can you give one hour of your time to help them?

Hourglass supports over 12,000 people every year who are concerned about themselves or an older person at risk of abuse. We are seeking the support and expertise of professionals who want to make a difference to the lives of older victims and those at risk of abuse.

What is Give An Hour?

To ensure our callers receive the best advice and help we can offer, we want to invest in our helpline and case work services. We are asking you to give one hour of pro bono support to the callers who need your expertise. We have also set a £50,000 fundraising target from this new scheme to ensure we continue to save and change more lives. As well as potentially funding a specific Give An Hour Helpline officer, your support will also help Hourglass continue to work tirelessly to end the abuse of older people.

Get Involved with Give An Hour

Hourglass is seeking professionals to be part of the success of our Give An Hour Scheme and provide a minimum of an hour’s free advice and support. In addition, we have created 3 partnership packages enabling businesses to get involved with the charity & make a difference to the lives of older people affected by abuse.

We want to ensure that everyone who needs our help has a full understanding of all options available to them. Many cases are complex and challenging, especially for those outside the legal profession trying to navigate it. We want to ensure those who reach out to us can make an informed decision, tailored to their unique situation.

Hourglass is inviting legal professionals to be part of the success of our Give An Hour Scheme to provide a minimum of an hour’s free legal advice. You could be offering life changing information to some of our callers and be part of ending the abuse of older people.
